The Child Alive® Institute, is designed to encourage and enlighten the mind of the educator and/or parent to embrace the child as God designed, created and desires the child to be - that is "fully alive!" It offers a professional development track for teachers seeking Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

The Child Alive® Institute was established in 2007 by Michelle Thompson and Marlene Lee for the express purpose of changing the world one learner at a time, promoting a perspective of education and nurturing children that is biblical, practical and substantial. It was their intent to create a Training Institution that would further the work of those who view children as Jesus did and who said "the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." St. Iranaeus of Lyons said "the Glory of God is man fully alive!" Dr. Maria Montessori articulated this mission as she became a scientist of the pedagogy of children and who believed in the beginnings of "human potential." Today, the Child Alive® Institute offers varying courses throughout the Twin Cities hosted at Hand In Hand Christian Montessori Academy.
